Bass-ick Theory

With a lifetime of experience as a bassist and music educator, Tony Muhammad draws on his deep knowledge of music theory and life lessons from his own multi-dimensional involvement in the music industry, as well as from some of the country's best bassists. He offers knowledge and important insights that new or experienced bassists can use to deepen their understanding of playing bass and to become valuable and sought-after musicians. The book also includes comments from notable jazz musicians, including bassists Damian Erskine and Jimmy Haslip, and drummer Dennis Chambers. Much of Mr. Muhammad's approach to bass derives directly from the years he studied with bass great Milt Hinton, one of the earliest developers of the walking bass line.
