Andrew V Z Brower

Andrew V. Z. Brower é um biólogo sistemata americano, com foco em sistemática molecular de borboletas e teoria da sistemática biológica e especiação. Ele obteve seu Ph.D. pela Cornell University. Atualmente, Brower é Diretor Assistente do National Identification Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine, e Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS), onde supervisiona taxonomistas entomológicos nacionais. Ele também é Pesquisador Associado no American Museum of Natural History e no National Museum of Natural History. Sua obra mais relevante, "Biological Systematics: Principles and Applications", co-escrita com Randall T. Schuh, aborda a história e a filosofia da sistemática biológica, incluindo filogenética, taxonomia e classificação de seres vivos.
